Into the Uncharted Territories of Personal Faith

God has given each one of us a calling, and Jesus and the Word are essential to living by it. He Leadeth Me uses personal stories and studied Scriptures to show how through God’s mercy, power, and truth, you can find the strongest faith in the fiercest storms.

He Leadeth Me is a raw and honest look into Michael Clayton’s own forty-two years of faith. Through glimpses into his life’s journey―from running track in school, to serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, to homeschooling five children, to battling cancer―Clayton shows what it is to trust in the Lord. Whether you’re coming home from war, raising a family, or rediscovering faith, it’s not going to be easy or without risk. But God has given each one of us a purpose in life, and Jesus and the Word are essential to living by it.

About the Author:

Michael Clayton earned a bachelor of science from Iowa State University and served as USDA Agricultural Advisor in forward operating bases in extremely dangerous and violent locations in both Iraq and Afghanistan for over two years. He won multiple awards, including the Certificate of Appreciation from the Secretary of Agriculture and the Meritorious Honor Award from the Department of State.

Michael and his wife, Karen, homeschooled their five children. During their forty-year marriage, they both served in many capacities within the church, most notably with children and youth ministries; they worked together for ten years as Commander and Secretary of their church’s Awana ministries. Michael, a Kentucky native, continued his career with the United States Department of Agriculture until his seven-year fight with an incurable form of cancer led him to retire. He and Karen spent his short retirement in Princeton, Kentucky.
